Meet Emma Sundqvist, our COO. In this interview Emma shares her journey from joining the company in 2003 to becoming a COO. Emma also gives a glimpse into her personal life and passions outside of work.

Tell us about your journey at Combi Wear Parts.
I joined Combi Wear Parts in 2003. I started after finishing my studies at the University in Växjö where I got my degree in Industrial system economy. The first project I got involved in and responsible for was to implement a new ERP system in the company. It was a very good way to understand and learn how all transactions and departments in the company were connected and interacting with each other. After the implementation I was assigned to managing logistics, including warehouse and production planning. After about two years in the company, I became responsible for the supply chain and to manage all purchasing.

2012 I was assigned COO and a became a member of the group management, at that moment we had, beside the foundries in Ljungby, also a foundry in Kolsva and a machine shop in Halmstad. After the decision in 2018 to focus on our core business, namely wear parts, we exit the businesses in Kolsva and Halmstad in 2019 and today my mission is that Combi Wear Parts shall become the most efficient and well-functioning standalone foundry in Sweden with world class competitiveness.

What are you passionate about outside of work?
For a Iong time I was doing long distance training on bike and running but nowadays I do most strength training, now and then I go out for a jog to get my heart pumping. I have twins, two 18-year-old girls that are about to leave the nest, which means that me and my husband will get more time for ourselves and can focus on things we like, but not had the time for earlier. I am excited to see what this new life brings.
